Through real-life scenarios, guided discussion, and interactive learning, you'll leave prepared to provide initial support and connect individuals to appropriate professional help.

Learn to identify common risk factors and warning signs of mental health and substance use challenges.

✔ Use the 5-Step Action Plan (ALGEE)

Learn the Mental Health First Aid action plan to:

Assess risk, Listen without judgment, Give reassurance, Encourage professional help, and Encourage self-help strategies.

✔ Respond in a Crisis or Non-Crisis Situation

Build confidence in supporting individuals during panic attacks, emotional distress, substance use concerns, or reactions to trauma.

✔ Connect People to Resources

Understand how to guide someone toward appropriate professional, peer, and community supports.
